We're on the same journey, except I'm taking it in two stages, get it working and ride it for a bit, then off the road for strip and tart up.

Same stud on mine snapped. Luckily it snapped mid stud so I had something to grip on, had to grind some flats to get any purchase though.

Took a fair while with penetrating fluid and heat, two turns out, one turn back in, bit more heat, bit more fluid and repeat. It was in pretty tight.

If you've got access to a machine shop, then with what you've got left, I'd go down that route.
