Are you aware that you need a special puller to remove the alternator cover, plus some Ducati sealant when you put it back.
And don’t forget the last screw hiding next to the clutch slave in all the chain lube. You can remove the cover with it in place if you persist, but it scraps the cover!
Whilst you’ve got it off, check out the alternator cables to the voltage regulator and the starter spray clutch too.
