Well it’s done. I only actually used the new locknut as the depth of the Venhill adjuster and the original as to where the outer sleeve sits where totally different and I wouldn’t have been able to tension it correctly. So snapped the old locknut off cleaned it all up and screwed the venhill nut with slot in it as well as a little rubber boot and here is the finished article. Shame I can’t test ride but never mind.
