and another thing, DS ignition coils there are two types Beru ones encapsulated, relatively smallgenerally well designed , and the Magnet Marelli ones which are big heavy highly corrodable go-wrongable. The important thing is that they require different electrical connectors, and god knows where to get them from apart from an existing looms. Of course any mix & match approach is fraught with issues particularly getting hold of the necessary electrical connectors for the ECU & Dash. Going back to ignition timing, I did briefly consider mechanically altering the position of the crankshaft sensor's trigger position in order to retard the ign timing, but this will of course also retard the fuel injection. It is basically a can of worms, and the advice somebody gave me is very true, if you want a 1000DS variant get one don't try and build one, but sometimes you just have to do something really stupid?!&%**
