Been doing a lot of research on the 1000DS engine recently because of my 1000SSie purchase.
Slob is correct that the multi engine is different because of the single sided arm.
From what I've seen the Sport Classic uses the same engine as the 1000SSie DS, but parts for them appear to command a high price.
