As smiffy said, there are two types of latch. On the Ducati seat bases that's not a big problem as the latch pin or loop is held by just one screw and they are interchangeable and adjustable. But I don't know what the arrangement is on the Corbin... They probably use a Ducati latch, in which case you are in business.
The mating to the tank does differ, but if you are re-covering anyway, it might be possible to trim the base to fit the later tank. Basically the early ones have a small radius at the leading end and the later ones have a larger radius. The angles of the tank cut-out are a little different too, but since all the (Ducati) plastic seat bases start out as exactly the same moulding and are trimmed differently, I reckon you would be in with a chance of making it fit. I have no idea what the Corbin base is. GRP I would imagine? That would probably make it easier to add a bit on if necessary.
I think they are covered with leather too, if that makes any difference?
