No, not really.
Had a small issue with the LCD odo/tacho/clock display where the right hand side was not working properly. I opened it up to discover the ribbon cable loose. Easy fix. I've had a few yamahas, including an XTZ 750 Super Tenerrie. Mechanically bullet proof bikes really in my experience.
