Lock-down amusement?

Hi all, Well if anyone is looking for something to do to pass some time how about this "Blue Peterish" project? How to up-rate your "rear brake master cylinder push rod & clevis pin" from a M6 nut and 80 mm screw could be stainless or titanium. All you need is an electric drill & the usual set of hand tools hacksaw/file/emery cloth. So pretty self explanatory when you give it a little thought, first cut off enough thread & shank to make the push rod put into drill chuck and fashion taper & rounded end as per the original cut thread to length. Then take the head end and again into the drill and cut the circlip groove with the hacksaw and cut to length, then cut the head down to a disc. Finally cut the nut in half for the lock nut. Then just clean up the bits ready to fit, slightly better than the originals and where nobody will ever see anyway, time well wasted! Bitza

You could also splash out on a nice 5mm stainless circlip to boot, off ebay for not alot.
