The numbers seem to indicate similarity of the parts, I believe the A and B suffixes are for alloy and steel, but you could be right about the colour only.
I am still assuming that the SS and Monster cases are the same at the swingarm bearings, but I'm prepared to chance my arm on it... (See what I did there?..
