You can get special polish for carbon fibre, which doesn't leave white residue in pin holes and suchlike.
Haven't tried it yet myself, but I intend to.
From Easy Composites, if I remember correctly.
Or maybe you could use a black-tinted car wax ... but I'd go for the dedicated stuff.
