I believe Ducati recently changed the configuration of the flats and generic filter wrenches no longer fit. Another plus for the strap wrench in Luddite’s post.
I know there are quite a few K&N filter fans on here, if you use them please use a torque wrench to do them up otherwise you risk tearing the hex off the filter or, worse, having it fail later (they are banned in AMA racing for this reason, which is quite ironic for something originally marketed as a ‘race oil filter’)
