My guess would be that they didn't have the right size bearings and fitted the smaller ones. I had 2 Cagiva era bikes and they both had Brembo wheels. Not sure how Aprilia fit into the equation though as Ithought they were nothing to do with Ducat, as they are owned by Peugeot IIRC
