Something doesn’t sound right there- all the wheels I’ve fitted bearings into have had a shoulder to tap them up against.
Is that not the case with Brembo wheels?
If it is then surely the recess isn’t deep enough to get two sets of bearings in?
As for the later models’ rear wheel bearings being sold in sets of four, I suspect that is to encompass the Cush Drive assembly as well.
As Slob said, two bearings for the wheel and another two for the Cush Drive.
