Welcome to the forum. If you have a little search there's acres of info about the agrigultural feel of big air cooled V-twin (L-twin) Monsters on here. It seems particularly prevalent on the 1100evo, which I have now and I'm still trying to get to the bottom of, and I had the same thing on my 696+ too.
