I used these guys for pipes and fittings https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/torquesuk

4x AN -6 to M14x1.5 adaptors (two on the engine, two on the cooler)
4x AN -6 STRAIGHT Swivel Seal Hose Fitting
and 1m of AN -6 (8mm) 5/16" Braided Fuel Hose 1 m

(that was on 03 M1000 with low mounted 1098 oil cooler, so might not be the same as yours)
