Dunno how this one got under the radar did you get it sorted?

A dry clutch will always produce some dust and it is part of regular maintenance to blow it out when it builds up. Vented covers help here as it is my understanding they were only fully closed to help keep noise down for the regulations but even the original covers have two little slots at the bottom to let a little dust out.

As for whether it needs replacing depends on a few factors- wear limits of the friction material and/or the plate tangs to basket slot wear.

How quickly you experience wear will depend on where you mostly ride and how much you use the clutch.

How many miles has it done?
