I agree the probable answer, if I could do it is to bend the header angles out slightly. I’m a bit nervous re putting too much pressure on it but will hunt around for the right bits of pipe.
Spacing the footrest hangers out a little more wouldn’t actually help much as the main thing stopping the silencers from sitting further out is not the brackets, it’s the angle of the header and it’s impact on where the centre line of the silencers goes.
I hear you re your silencers not being for sale. But I don’t actually think it’s my silencers, I think it’s the header. I can fiddle with the brackets a little more but ultimately I suspect I need to buy some new/ second hand pipes.
I will have another go at fettling it this weekend and take it from there. Thanks again for all your input. I really appreciate it.
