OK so thanks to Chriswilly, I now have a spare seat! You are a star my friend.

The seat is a different model to mine and had two round molded plastic tubes which made it not fit... Thank heaven for angle grinders to remove them, and black silicone to reseal the the underside. Once this was done the seat clipped neatly into the existing latch. The fitment of the seat to the tank is slightly different as the wear of the paint attests, but its really marginal and if you didn't know, you wouldn't notice. OK I wouldn't notice -perhaps some aficionados would! LOL.

So Darren and Ped, thanks too you both for offering to search your lofts for seats, but I am now fully sorted.
