Under the crud it's a straight, low miles example, matching numbers, needs very little work but I've changed the belts (originals still on it & in as new condition but hey, it's 22 years old & you never know...
Oil service & filters plus a new battery and it runs beautifully...
So now I wait for the DVLA, they reckon 12-16 weeks for a reggo
The guy selling it was a titled gentleman & it was a rich boy's toy until he decided he was bored of it
As soon as I get the V5c I'll hit it with a few sensible bits, braided hoses, uprated brakes, sticky tyres, Akraprovic etc... (OK maybe not THAT sensible)
It'll sit nice with my Triumph, BSA, GSX-R1100, Aprilia RS125, Cagiva 521 & several others I won't go into
Surface rust on the frame that'll clean but sadly the engine casings will need vapour blasting & repainting
It might be next spring before I get to enjoy it but I think it'll be worth it (as long as I don't go completely crackers trying to decypher Ducati part numbers...)
