The fluid suggested 50-80deg, so I went for the upper end, and aye I'd drop it for plastic etc bits. Instructions for the cleaner itself suggested a rest period after every 30min, which is what I did, but I probably should be wary that it's cheap.
I'm not going to worry about the other parts, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome - will try to get the pics up soon (but might end up being tomorrow).
