So they are claiming 165Kgs net.

I don't have data for 2006 bikes, but the weight I'm seeing for a 2002 M900 is 189kgs, which can't be that different to a 2006 M900. Id say a 2006 bike was heavier if anything.

As people have said, a 24Kg weight saving is a lot on something so simple in the first place.

The seat unit looks as though it could be saving @5kgs, but apart from that I can't see it.

Are they the standard wheels?
it's the only other place that a significant saving could be made.
