I'm certainly not prepared to pay for one of those rings from the US, but if you happen to have a 3D printer laying about, go for it.

I have an offcut of Tricoya to go at with my router... Enough to make about a dozen rings.
They would work out at about 12 to 15p each to my mates on here.

Those would need to be painted to look anything. Or vinyl carbon wrapped?

If they prove to work okay and not look too bad, then I would look into using one as a mould to produce them in carbon fibre, not that those would be any lighter than a Tricoya one, just better looking and more expensive.

I'm hoping to bump into my Carbon Fibre guru mate this afternoon. So watch this space.
