That’s Oberon finally tested my clutch slave which took way longer than it should have (due to unforeseen circumstances).
The good news is the clutch slave is totally fine and will get a new alu insert and shipped back to me.
The bad news is the clutch slave isn’t the issue, so no easy fix there. The oberon guy has again suggest excessive chain slap over thousands of miles and or sometimes the alu part doesn’t sit tight against the casing, making process of being loosened off that bit easier…make of that what you will.
So I’m thinking best option…is replace the bearing it’s a cheap item anyway. I’ve got lot’s of other stuff on at the moment so it’ll be a while before I get round to it.
I’ll report back in due time and with photos of the internals when i get to that point.
Also i may sell that Oberon and buy a different make…would anybody be interested in a ‘as new’ ‘tested by Oberon’ clutch slave if was to sell it?
