Sorry to learn about the off. I came a cropper in October last year, the liability is still in dispute and I had a writ served on me by the third party seeking their moment in court.
You seem to have all the advice you need a the moment, but from my own recent experience I would say; stay calm, prepare not to see your bike again for at least two months, and keep records of everything concerning your big day.
As Nic said the main thing is you are OK. You will ride another day.
