Get a cab to the hospital, ask for and keep the receipt. Add it to your list of out of pocket expenses. Make sure that you get receipts for all your prescription charges too as they'll form part of the claim.
Sadly though it'll be her insurance company that'll pay - although her premiums will probably rocket (quite rightly). The good news is that they can afford to pay and usually settle with little fuss once liability has been determined.
