Since the 06 manual refers to making manual adjustments it will be a non-linear TPS since linear don't require any manual adjustment. Not sure what would be on an 04 bike but the linear type didn't get used until the testastretta engine 4v bikes and later 2v after that. I'm not sure that clarifies completely but if they were still using non-linear on 06 bikes it would be likely that they did on 04 bikes too?
