Yes. Use the puller to pop the cover off.
Also remove the clutch slave and find the cover screw that nestles behind it in a recess. It might be hidden by chain goo, so wash down and make sure you find and remove it or you'll bust the cover when you apply the puller. (You won't be the first though!)

If you're doing this on the side stand you will need to drain most of the oil.
On a paddock stand you might get away with it, but probably lose some when the cover pops, so you might as well drop a pint or so out, but not the whole lot as I imagine it's fresh oil you have in there?
