Hi, having done this one here's my thoughts. First Slob's engine facts are just that "facts". ECU - one important issue is the ignition timing which is retarded for the DS engines, the fueling will of course be different with early type flattened ecu's this could be over come with a powercommander as I think remapping these isn't normal practice/easy, I just happen to have a PC for early type ecu if you want it. Throttle bodies on early 1000's are the same as early 900ie ones but the potentiometer is different to suit the 5.9 type ecu, I also have a spare early type potentiometer if needed, which will fit but obviously requires setting up. I also have an exhaust. Airbox you could use either I think. If you use later air box you may need a battery/ecu/fuse box holder to bolt onto 1000 rocker box I have one of those too.
