Just found this while browsing eBay - I'm not seriously considering it but I found it interesting as this is the first LED unit I've seen designed to fit in the standard 696/796/1100 frame.

Not sure how much more effective it would be than the standard arrangement, bearing in mind that I think that the main reason for the poor illumination stems from the original headlamp shape, which this new unit retains.
By the way, anyone else reminded of spider eyes by this arrangement?
