Yes my route was both wet and muddy in patches but not too bad on the whole for early march. You have to expect a bit of agricultural overspill at this time of the year.
I had a pleasant bimble along the nene valley and the red kites were out in force .. what magnificent birds they are.
Great to meet up again after the winter lull.
Had a bit of anxiety on the way home when the fuel light came on while I was committed to the back roads of northamptonshire where the petrol stations are few and far between.
Ended up doing 22miles with the light on, beating my previous record by some margin.
