Thanks NickJ thats very useful I have a mate with a monster so I will put my CDI units on his bike and check its definitely them before I go too far...
I have looked at the pickups, but I cant see anyway someone could have put them on wrong... everything lines up OK, but willing to listen to advice if you have any suggestions, also happy to post any pictures if it helps. I must admit this has stumped me...
