In fairness so far there hasn't been much to replace and Ducati John has been over the engine and it all seems mechanically sound so I'm happy. Means that it's mainly cosmetics that need to be done.

Yes but crank was shot and 6th gears hardening gone. Alone that's £784 and it still needs full rebuild engine belts gaskets seals and heads were stripped, oil ring broken, closer rocker broken, clutch plates worn, plus vapour blasting heads and barrels and paint. That all adds up to a LOT . I was gambling mind with open eyes knowing I have an early bike which I wanted so much since I got into classic bikes.
