At 15k he'll need shims checked. This needs to be done with a stone cold engine, so the "ride up and get the service done" isn't an option . I do wonder how a full service can cost that when you have £200+ in parts alone, even before you look at shims.

Re Ducati diagnostic isn't just the service light. The box control other stuff like CO2 trim and TPS. Will also show any past errors logged etc.
