Chris, some of the ducati dealers do give you the first service free - some dont!
Often depends on how hard you knock them on the purchase price, and whether it is a franchised dealer - or a Ducati own store.
Me - I have to pay for mine - but as I knocked the dealer much more than the cost of a first service from the purchase price, I'm happy about that.
(more like the cost of the next 3 services....)
