Use a syringe or vacuum pump of some sort to pull the fluid through. If there's enough air in the system (more that the master cylinder can shift in one stroke) it can be incredibly difficult to get the bleeding process started. I would definitely try putting a bungee round the lever overnight, which should let any air rise to the top of the system, this may allow you to bleed it in the morning if you're lucky.
