So in other words no real point in swapping an 11 for a 12 ( unless you prefer the looks) Doesn't matter what bike you take to the track there will always be a faster one there, unless you dedicate yourself to owning the fastest track bike you can.
Of course if you want a bit of extra oomph for the 1100 a cheap way is to improve aero and cooling by adding a belly pan
