I have an M600 too on an "N".
I've had the same grief starting it,and I've found that if I turn the bars it will go.
Somewhere on here is a thread that says some bikes can suffer the wires breaking up from the switch to the starter.
I will investigate further.........
No idea if the later bikes have the same problem,but at least it proves I'm reading this stuff!
