Can anybody tell me if an M900 engine will fit into my M600 frame and what else I would have to change?

Brakes for sure. Rear wheel is narrower on 600 not sure about front.

Depending on year of your replacement motor the electrical connection ends may be different but that isnt a big deal. Stroke is longer so you will need 900 head pipes but the mufflers are the same. I put a 96 900SP in my 2000 750 and it was a direct bolt in other than the stuff mentioned above. The 96 motor uses a cable drive tach but since I was planning to run custom 900SS gauges it was no problem. The frame is supposed to be the same on all at the motor mounts so it should slide right in. Newer bikes with the security system, new style gauges and injection may cause problems I didnt have to deal with.
