Oil Temp?

while out today riding in Portsmouth traffic my oil temp went up to 112.... :eek:
normaly it is 81-87 when on open roads..and the highest before..(in Summer)..in town traffic was 97....should i worry?? :confused:
what temp do you all get in town traffic?

Mine went upto 107 today doing 80+ on the motorway(so plenty of air flow) don't think you need to worry about owt.

That doesn't sound too much to worry about, I've heard some go much higher. The only thing I can think of is the oil level low - may cause the temp to go up.

Yep..this is normal Bob...if it is a worry, you can have the DP oil cooler fitted which increases heat dissipation by about 15% and will lighten your wallet by a few hundred quid - thats about 21.42 bottles of whisky to put it into perspective.. :lol:

during the summer I was regularly above 130 and even hit 155 once with no issue. Oh for some more of that Monaco climate :o
