Ducati dealer and servicing specialists - ProTwins (Godstone, Surrey) have kindly offered to open on a Sunday for members of the MOC and their friends in the DSC/DOC, and offer a suspension clinc and general bike-set up session.

They will be open from 11am until 2pm, and you are welcome to arrive at any time, although they do intend to give a short presentation first thing, with advice available from their workshop team throughout the session.

For those who would like to arrive en mass, I would like to suggest we meet at Box Hill (handy for pretty much everyone from Surrey/Sussex/London/Kent etc.) from 9.45am, leaving at 10.15am for a pleasant backroad run to Godstone for 11am.

Inital response to this event (proposed by DRC) was very good, so I do hope for a good turnout to make it worth their while.

Looking forward to seeing you!

JMo, I know you're coming up from Brighton, but since when has Box Hill been conveniently on route from Kent to Caterham   ... (Hint - You have to go past Caterham, then turn around and come back  )

Anyway, I use ProTwins to service my Monster, and know the way to get there without using the motorway, or the dire A25 :D . So if anyone from Kent or East Sussex wants to ride in from another direction ( meet in the Tunbridge Wells area?) then I'll happily lead in :burnout:

Ok Miles - don't get smart... As I said, you are more than welcome to make your own way there - it's just for the majority of us who regularly ride in the South East, Box Hill is an easy/recognisable meeting point for many - can't help it if you Kentities essentailly live on the continent...

PS. Protwins is in Godstone (South Godstone actually), not Caterham - we don't want to confuse anyone who's not been there before... x

Ooops, Damn, out smarted myself :o ...

Yes, I know ProTwins at at South Godstone... my simple Kentish brain just thinks of it as the Caterham turn off on the M25 - these funny foreign place names are complicated for us simple country folk :p

See you there

Miles

PS - We could to to Caterham - and laugh at the BMW riders at South London Motorcycles

JMo,
I'll be down because they do Ultimap fuel injection stuff (as fitted to the 748) and I need to talk to someone about it. See you there

Also, for those who fancy a run afterwards, we plan to head to a nice pub for a late lunch via some twisties towards Sevenoaks - just got to check the pub is still doing food until 3pm... of course if I could remember the bloody name of the place, I'd simply phone them...

I thought you'd left these shores - any chance you could still make the Ace on Tuesday?

Hope they're bike friendly - I've had a few "unfriendly  " receptions in the Sevenoaks area myself :(

:bunny: PS - Anyone joining me on a ride in from the East should check out the Kent section, where the route is posted.

Don't you worry fella - we've been there a few times before and they are very nice, and the food is great! (just don't forget your jacket and tie of course x)

We'll be having a late lunch at The Woodman pub on the B2042 between Goathurst Common and Sevenoaks - aim to be there about 3pm, or before - but they serve food all day - I checked, today, in the sodding rain, and the cold...

Humph b@llocks and arse, it looks like we're not going to come out and play tomorrow, as the house more has been moved forward and the loft is a ****e tip!! Can't really leave it as it is, otherwise i think we're beginning to attract squirrells!!

Sorry everyone!!!

Runningman....i was meant to be in the US now, but my visa application is taking longer than my company expected, but i will still be unable to come to the ride out as my UK company have sent me across to Ireland to upgrade a mchine before i leave...sorry!!!!!!
