So I have the new bike and noticed that the clutch reservoir is a little low.....still above the minimum but I though I woudl start to think about that needs to be done.....

So the questions is, can I use any clutch/brake fluid to top it up? Should it be drained if not using the same fluid?

And in relation to all this, to help me avoid too many more stupid questions, although the bike is a 99 model, would I be safe to assume that the 2000 manual that is available through this site would tell me most of what I need to know? Or should I seek out a 99 version?

I think you need DOT 4 fluid for the clutch and brakes if I'am wrong some one will correct me. :)

Dot 4 is the one to use dot 5 will eat seals.

Most fluids will mix with others . Depends if yo want to change and your ok at bleeding as they can be a pain to some.

Note the clutch fluid always goes grey colour very quickly unlike brakelines which generally stays same colour
