My bike paint is in good nick apart from a battery acid spill on the engine casing which has taken some paint off. Does anyone know where I can get either a good match for the colour (95 M900 engine casing) or even the orriginal ducati stuff.

Sorry can't help but i did have my cases powder coated locally and an excellent match they are too. Bit of work mind but well worth it i thought.

Did mine in black (with red poncey bits) ask Julie of julie and ruth fame. She found a good match for hers although I think she repainted the whole case. touching up and matching can be a bit of a mare. Unless like me you go gloss black!
G luck.
Alex.

Does the paint have to be heat resistant?

Don't laugh but I found a good match and so far it seems to hold up - only for touch up mind, but if you go to your local warhammer shop you can buy mithril silver in little pots it is water based and drys instantly on a warm engine. If you can be bothered mix it with a little chaos black for a perfect match.

I await the ****-takes

if its mithril water based it should scatter the orcs but will need lacquering in case of a downpour.
