Hi all,
Anyone know of a place in Somerset that will fit motorbike tyres? I want to get a pair of Pirelli Diablo's online (£180), and get someone to fit them for me.
Everyone I have called wants to supply and fit, quotes so far range from £210 - £250.
Unfortunately the cheaper quote can't fit me in for nearly two weeks

Thanks.

Dave

Did you go to dedicated tyre fitters or bike shops? most bike shops don't make any money from supplying the tyre.
they make the money from the fitting charge and from the used tyres they take off if i'd known this last time i put new ones on i could have saved £60
by getting the tyres online and have them fitted by my local bike shop !

That's exactly what I want to do. Trouble is that finding someone to just do the fitting is proving difficult.
Thanx for the link, I'll have a phone around tomorrow.......

Try Protyre in Bristol. Their Gloucester branch supplied me with diablos (120/70/17 front, 170/60/17 rear) for £177 the pair, fitted to loose wheels and balanced. Ride in service is £10 a wheel extra, and they usually can fit you in same day.

Thanks for the info, but I got them supplied and fitted at Grahams motorcycles in Taunton in the end. Big mistake........I ended up with a small dent in the tank for my troubles

I'll definitely use Protyre for the next set.....
