Next weekend is Bank Holiday weekend, and Bank Holiday Monday is the annual Popham Mega-meet! I fully intend to make it all the way to Popham this year, that means no side tracks into St Richards A&E! Ahem!
Any Sussex Monsterers wanting to meet up and ride in together let Jmo know and she can get in touch with me direct :bunny:
Sussex DSC, and any Monsterers happy to join our throng (NO, NOT THONG!), will meet the Kent, Surrey and Hampshire DSC groups at 0915 in Alton at the Station Cafe, and the Oxon, Beds and Berks DSC groups in Basingstoke at the junction of the A340 and A339 (462750E,153250N for any orienteers among us, or copy http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=462705&Y=153335&A=Y&Z=2 into your internet browser) leaving at 1030 for a mass ride in to Popham! That means an EARLY start guys n gals, we need to leave Bury Hill by 0830 prompt, so anybody wishing to accompany me from my home will need to be here by 0800! We'll go from Bury Hill up the A29, cut through Fittleworth, onto the A272 to Petersfield, up the B2070 (the old A3 as was) to Liss, then across the B3006 through Selborne to Alton. Then up the dreaded A339 to Basingstoke, watch your speed along the A272 and the A339!
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU'VE FILLED UP WITH GAS BEFORE YOU GET TO BURY HILL, the group will be a bit too big to control if we have to stop for petrol, especially when we get to Alton.
