ok, sorry this is a bit late but its the start to the on yer bike ducati open day ride in.......... still in planning, have asked terry for a few bits but waiting to see.......... will be getting as many riders from all over to pop in and say hi, show off the club, make it known to the masses........ i know i can get some from here,..... i also know julie and jmo will be riding up....

albie, your always moaning that no one rides in your area..........why dont you come to milton keynes the night before and visit your sister, then ride in with us all. then ride home with jenny.......... i would love it if you or someone else comes in from that area so jenny isnt heading home alone..........

i alos know mand and her fella will be riding down so julie has some company on waythome so if any others from midlands want to ride down to let me know..........

i know this looks a little in the air at the moment but its 1610 on sunday and i've only just got in after leaving the bristol show yesterday so having to be quick......

this is the deal...........

on 12 sept, its a sunday, ducati are having an open day to promote new models etc..... i'm not sure what they are planning as shop doesnt even know yet but i'm in contact with the sales manager so will find out as soon as, i want as many as poss to ride into store and park up...... and do something like the bristol show,ie, bikes together with the big red banner across the front, can be arranged from different ares as a days ride out just like the rutland meet and all meet up in aylesbury and ride in together, the sound will be un real......also a real head turner to anyone there......loads of bikes to look at, not sure as to food and drink but at very least there is a van doing coffee and usual layby food.mmmmmmmmmmmmm......... good eating.............

so if you want a nice ride out,............ meet up with other members,.......... see what ducati have to offer......... i'll find out what they are doing........... let me know...... once i know who wants to be involved, i can start to plan numbers, meeting points etc.................. remember, sept 12

ducati aylesbury is at on yer bike, they built another showroom just for the dukes on same site.......... but the duke showroom is already up and running........... its also aprilla open day at same site so should be a good day but like i said, as soon as the sales manager lets me know i'll let you all know......... and if you are coming up from that area, you can meet up with the others i'm getting together at macD's in aylesbury and ride in together........... i have a funny feeling this could become quite big !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top stuff Pete (and bless you for considering me riding home all alone - you condesending sod! x)

As you've suggested - meeting prior and riding in en mass will have a great impact, so my I suggest that we meet from 11am at McDisasters on the A41 at Aylesbury (Drive-in shopping mecca that it is), and leave say 11.30 for the last few miles to Ducati Aylesbury/On yer Bike site?

Anyone coming from further afield (Further than Brighton eh?!) or with morning commitments can always go directly there of course.

What do you think?

PS. Might have a couple more Sussexites along too - "Best Roadster" needs an entourage you know... x

jenny, 11am at mac's sounds great.........i didnt want to give a time just yet as its you with the distance to cover....... we locals can fit in with you lot..........so as it stands....... theres at least 5 area groups meeting........... not too sure on numbers yet but could be good.......... also like i saud, if the weathers good......... make a day of it and people from out of area could plan a nice ride home and a drink somewhere.......... i think there is a pub near the dealership........... i'll look into it cos if so.......... thats lunch taken care of.......... as for my idea of bikes in a line with the big red banner in front............... jen, i want your bike and any other saucy ones up front to show people what can be done with a bit of imagination....... on yer bike are happy cos if people like the bikes, they will sell more monnies........... will do some more homework mon and tues but if each area can sort themselfs out and we all just meet at mac's at 11, i'll sort out my area and also the banners, red floor tape etc.............

Well done for getting this going. Unfortunately, I shall be in Greece; which is a shame because my bike would definitely be up front with the saucy ones, now that I've changed my nuts. (the ones holding the cans onto the bike that is)

You could always lend him your bike  Only joking, that's a dangerous idea

I was gonna ask how you and your nuts were, obviously they're fine and you had no problems fiddling around with them ;)

Where you going in Greece then you jammy bugger? :(

Just to say we'll be heading up via Box Hill on the Sunday morning - but will have to leave there by 9.30am, so just a quick stop for a coffee and a weewee etc.

So, plan for Sussex and SE would be south Sussex meet Washington Roundabout, leaving at 8.30am - get to Box about 9.15 for a cuppa, and to meet Surrey, north Sussex and any Kentities - leaving 9.30am via Windsor, Slough, Beaconsfield, Amersham, then A413 to Alysbury to meet the rest at 11am at McDonalds...

Hope to see you all somewhere along the way...

All going well than JMo, myself and a few others should meet you by the Milkshake Operator around 11am..... ;)

If the weather holds, this has the makings of a mass Monster get-together!!
