immobiliser

My immobiliser has started doing strange things, put key in ignition and turn on the dials move as usual, but as I press the starter the immobiliser cuts in and the LED starts flashing :mad: after a few goes of turning off and on again it all seems normal, then a few days later the same thing :mad:

Has any body got any ideas.

are you using the same key each time?

as i understand it the ducati immobiliser uses a rolling code system, so if you use your spare key it might take a few goes before it is recognised and synchronised?

Same key every time, but I am now carrying a spare incase the original key has gone faulty.
