Sherburn in Elmet...in Yorkshire......just East of Leeds.

One of the older bike meeting locations....although having said that it moved not so long ago to new premises.

Hiya Phil,

I'm afraid I'm working a 12hr shift tomorrow, standing in for somebody else which I aint happy about or I would have been down to meet up with you.
I think it's still on for another meet at Easingwold on the 22nd but we'll have to see closer to the time.

Lox must have gone away somewhere, he must be due back soon.

Hello all, back from the land of Ducati.

Is the Easingwold meet in August and why so long? Anyone fancy a meet up before that? Scotty, you have to see sherborn - I'm from Newcastle by the way.

You are not alone!
The truth is out there.

However, unfortunately, due to timing belt concerns, I cannot make Sherburn this weekend. Plus next weekend I'll be off oop Norf to old Newcy land to visit family & friends. But after that, I'll be happy to meet up, just remember that Yorkshire is not just Westie, there's us Northerners too!

NicF - if you're bringing yon bike up here then give us a shout if you have some spare time. Scotty - A19 is crap, but usually over with pretty quick. I'm looking for an alternative route through hills and dales.

Gotta see how the servicing goes tomorrow.
Gotta see what the weather is like.
Will be visiting Gilsland one day, Newcy the other, probably in that order.
Thence sooth home via Rowlands Gill - Stanhope - Eggleston - Barnard Castle - Richmond - Leyburn - Masham - Ripon - Pately Bridge - Grassington - Skipton (Home).
Or if it's late the dreaded A1 will be used for part of the journey.

I haven't ridden in a group for a looong time, but i'm happy to meet up somewhere or tag along a while.

Crikey,

The ride home looks good enough anyway - and we don't really ride in groups up here. Right Celt?

Did you used to go through the ford at Stanhope?
Me? I did it, I did really and on my 600SS at the time, and the Zephyr too!
As long as it hadn't pee-d down recently ;)

I've been using that route for about 10 years now, quite pleasant.

Sorry guys, change of plan, due to what's going on this weekend.
I'll be doing that journey in reverse on Saturday to come up to Newcy to see t' parents setting off about 8:30ish. Then after lunch it'll be over the military road to Gilsland for an o/night and the Agri. show on sunday.
It'll prolly be late when I leave on Sunday, so it'll be Carlisle - M6 - Devil's Bridge, then home.
