R & G Crash Protectors

Even though I have no plans to crash my new addition I have purchased a set of the above.

Has anyone fitted a set ?

I was wondering if it was a good idea to tap the engine mounting bolt through with the R & G tie bar so I dont have to jack the engine .

Get your car jackand support the motor (with a wooden spacer) so the jack just takes the weight. You should then be able to tap through the tie bar.

You are not wrong Ped, That's exactly how I fitted mine, as you say, just jack it up enough (with wood spacer / wedge) so it just goes tight, then tap the engine mounting bar through with the R&G one. Make sure you get the spacing equal on both sides. (ie, same amount of threads showing)

I have a set on mine, and was quite easy for AK to tap through, took him about 10 mins to fit completely.

Done it !!!!!

Easy peasy....the bolt tapped straight through without any any jacking required. :D :D
