MMMmmm, your guess is as good as mine. I just happen to pass a comment on Julie's spectacular account of her time in the Emerald Isle and everybody's upforrit.......................

I, for one, will definately go, if a good few of us get our asseseeee haaawww into gear. There's quite a number of other interested parties to boot.....................

Yawl right Phil, your bang on. (Maybe international if we hit Southern Ireland) as for moving it to another thread, bar losing other peep's posts, I wouldn't know how to do it instantly..........Otherwise I 'd have a go...........................
.....................lets play it by ear and see wot 'appens over the next few days!!!

Well I read it from deepest, darkest Kent (and I'm at the bottom right hand corner of this sceptered Isle).

I'd be up for it, my missus is from Dublin and I go over to Ireland at least once a year but have never taken my bike. It's about bloody time I did!! The missus says she'd be glad to get rid of me for a couple of days.

My brother in-law lives in Co. Roscommon (yep a ****ehole I know but a short and fun ride from some amazing parts of Galway - the cliffs of Moher, the Burren etc.) is an aging biker and often entertains large parties of 2 wheeled loons from the mainland. I'm sure he'd be up for providing a place to kip and a huge Irish fry the following morning.

Sooo... if I'm prepared to make the journey from about as far from Holyhead as you can get while remaining on the English mainland on my little 600 there can be no excuse for anyone else to cry off. :D

Truely an AWESOME sight if I say so myself.....................

............750ft straight down.

Stopped in Doolin just north of the cliffs, Top Pubs, Top Music, Top People...........................

Yep, I know Doolin - where the Burren meets the Atlantic (have a few good memories of that place alright!).

The Ailwee Caves are nearby too (and quite an impressive place to visit). Father Ted (the one with Richard Wilson - I don't believe it!) was partly shot there, in fact most of the series was filmed around Galway.

By the way some of the hookers in Galway are only gorgeous...

This looks like it could fly. What we need is a firm number, a firm date, and an itinary. I do not wish to steal Julie's thunder, but would be willing to try and pull it together (or help someone else) if necessary.

My preference would be: This year - say late September,
Long weekend - Ferry Friday afternoon, arrive South, ride to north Sat/Sun, Ferry back Monday morning.
Exact times, routes , stopovers to be agreed.

Anyone else still on board?

If it was this September, it would have to be Friday 10th, even if I could make it at all. I've not enough holidays left. (as I work 2 out of 3 weekends)
