Straight liners 'run wot you brung' meeting.
¼ mile drag race meeting: on July 17th & 18th @ Thorney Island next to Hayling Island ( just off the A27 )Sussex.
It is an active Army base with a one mile runway, however the Army open day has been cancelled due to involment in the middle east.
There will be many custom and drag racers there and many bikes of different denominations.
It is totally addictive and for a cost per day of approx £20 for as many timed runs as your clutch can handle, is very good value ..you can of course attend as a spectator for less. Lots of trade stands, with bikes & cars on display.
The racing is to take place between10.30 – 17.00 hrs ( just past Emsworth on A27 ).
Moto Rapido might be turning up with a rattle of R S’s and specialized drag Ducati’s as Steve Hillary ( le patron ) won two seasons in the good old U.S.of A on his Ducati’s.
